Estafas (Scam) en renovación de dominios

Siguiendo la línea que iniciamos hace tiempo en este blog sobre el tema de las estafas en internet (las estafas en compras de dominios, de manera más particular), os traemos hoy una que apenas tiene referencias en español, con lo que transcribiremos el mensaje para que Google lo indexe adecuadamente.

Se trata de una supuesta e irresistible oferta que tiene validez solamente durante un día, el remitente es "Domain Services" con el email "dtmnotifications2982@hotmail.com", y el asunto viene a decir algo así: Domain Notification: NOMBRE REGISTRADOR This is your Final Notice of Domain Listing - XXXX.COM

La supuesta oferta incluye una serie de precios, un número de fax (1-718-799-5355) donde se debe enviar firmado para aparecer listado en un motor de búsqueda en el que jamás hemos aparecido porque no existe ni nos hemos dado de alta. No se trata de una renovación del dominio, sino de la renovación de una publicidad que no existe. Pero si nuestro dominio del inglés no es bueno siempre podemos caer en la trampa. Para ello es conveniente siempre bucar referencias en Google, y como casi siempre están en inglés podemos utilizar el
traductor de Google para enterarnos un poco por encima de qué va el asunto (no es un traductor perfecto pero puede darnos una idea).

Siempre aconsejamos que ante cualquier duda, por pequeña que sea, busquemos en Google referencias, en este caso poniendo el número de fax en el buscador daremos con la palabra SCAM (Estafa), o poniendo alguno de los emails que nos facilitan también daremos con ello. Ten en cuenta que antes que a tí, esto le ha pasado a miles de personas más.


Como decía un profesor de mi escuela "Piensa mal y acertarás". Así que por la misma regla de tres te recomendamos también que vayas escaneando regularmente tu ordenador en busca de virus, troyanos y malware que pasan desapercibidos, en este enlace de antivirus gratis podrás hacerlo rápidamente.

  2. Hola Dani, puedes denunciarlo en la policia nacional, Guardia Civil o Mossos de Esquadra si eres de Cataluña, pero no te van a hacer mucho caso. Así que toca resignarse, no hacer caso de estos emails y esperar a que los pillen en su país.
